Bixku Huni Kuin is a guardian of Huni Kuin ancestry and leader of the village of Pinuya. As the leader of the Pinu Huya Keneya collective and vice-president of OAKAT27, he dedicates his life to strengthening his community and preserving the traditions of his people.

A spiritual leader respected by the elders and the community, Bixku carries a deep connection to the wisdom passed down through generations. Known for his genuine humility and the love he offers to everyone around him, he leads not through power, but through example with an open heart and a presence that welcomes all.

One of the most defining aspects of his leadership is the profound respect he holds for the sacred feminine, always supporting and honoring its empowerment. In his vision, a strong community is one where feminine strength is recognized, celebrated and protected.

Rooted in years of experience and committed to his people, Bixku carries Huni Kuin culture and spirituality beyond the borders of the forest — sharing it around the world.

Yrikhe Huni Kuin, daughter of chief Assis from Pinuya village, raised in the forest and shaped by the knowledge of the Huni Kuin people passed down through generations.

Stepping into the wider world for the first time, she brings with her the force of Mawa Isa Keneya a female collective that strengthen the feminine force that heals and transforms. A force rooted in the land, in ceremony, and in the wisdom of those who came before them.

Yrikhe has gone through years of deep study under the guidance of the elder Paje Kupi, where she grew not only as an apprentice but as a Txana, and she is constantly continuing to strengthen her practice, bridging ancestral wisdom with the modern world.

She carries the forest with her. And with it, the power to heal.

Txana Yube Kayawai is a Huni Kuin spiritual leader from Novo Futuro village, located on the banks of the Humaitá River. He is one of the main representatives of the Eskawata Kayawei group, a collective dedicated to deepening spiritual studies within the Huni Kuin tradition, under the guidance of Pajé Ninawa Pai da Mata.

Since childhood, Txana Yube was initiated into the ancestral knowledge of his people. Alongside his father, Chief Shane Huni Kuin, he learned to walk the spiritual path, consecrating sacred medicines and, and from the wisdom of his Yawanawá mother, Seya, he inherited a deep listening and a sensitive eye for the spiritual world.

 

It was through this path that he wove his way forward, learning traditional chants, preserving the stories of his people, and giving continuity to the ancestral force that runs through his veins.

Three years ago, he was chosen by the elders of his village to take on the leadership of Novo Futuro. He lives in the indigenous territory of Humaitá, which has six villages, and was chosen by the elders of all six to serve as coordinator of the young leaders, strengthening their culture and carrying forward the work of their ancestors.

A leader, a hunter, a researcher, and a healer, Txana Yube not only guides the youth of the entire Humaitá region and leads his village with dedication and integrity, but has also spent the last seven years carrying his medicines and prayers around the world, sharing the living force of the Huni Kuin tradition with all who cross his path.
